Jens Risom's original 1941 collection from Knoll incorporates a fluid form
characteristic of understated Scandinavian design.
The side and lounge chairs previously made of woven cotton webbing and wood (materials not
subject to wartime restrictions) have now been updated with a variety of
fabric options and colors.
The Risom Lounge Chair's deep seat pocket and tall backrest allow for
comfortable and supportive reclining.
Bulky cushions are
replaced with basket-woven upholstered straps, adding
strength and resilience to this
iconic 20th century design. Each piece is stamped and with the
Knoll Studio logo and the designer's signature.
