In the 1960's Warren Platner transformed metal steel wire rods into a sculptural furniture collection that has become a design icon of the modern era.  The furniture's unique, harmonious forms are produced by welding curved vertical steel rods to circular frames, producing a moiré effect capturing the decorative, gentle quality that Platner sought to achieve.  The Platner collection also includes a dining table, side chair, low stool and coffee and side tables.
