In the 1960's Warren Platner transformed metal steel wire rods into a sculptural furniture collection that has become a design icon of the modern era.  The furniture's unique, harmonious forms are produced by welding curved vertical steel rods to circular frames, producing a moiré effect capturing the decorative, gentle and graceful quality that Platner sought to achieve.  The Platner collection also includes a dining chair, low stool, lounge chair and side tables.
