Molded Table
Charles and Ray Eames
Price: $799
Charles and Ray Eames designed the molded plywood coffee table in 1946 to
complement their famous molded plywood chairs.
Lightweight and movable, this
imaginative table is unmistakably Eames with its thin, slightly
indented top and gently curved legs.
The coffee table first came to Herman Miller's attention when
design director, George Nelson saw it and other Eames molded plywood products at
a showing in the Barclay Hotel in New York City in the mid-1940s.
Nelson immediately contacted Charles and Ray Eames and their legendary
association with the Herman Miller Company was set in motion.
